Introduction | 2-fluoro-4-nitrotoluene is an aromatic fluoride, aromatic fluorides are important intermediates for the synthesis of various functional fluorinated organic compounds, so their synthesis methods play an important role in the fields of medicine and materials. |
Application | 2-fluoro-4-nitrotoluene is an intermediate in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical research and development, can be used in the laboratory of organic synthesis and chemical pharmaceutical synthesis process. |
preparation method | preparation of 2-fluoro-4-nitrotoluene from 2, 4-dinitrotoluene: take choline chloride (0.14g,1mmol) and urea (0.12g,2mmol) to prepare eutectic, add 2, 4-dinitrotoluene (2mmol), potassium fluoride (15mmol) and DMSO(2.5ml), heated to 160 °c, and reacted for 8 hours. The temperature was cooled to room temperature, 10ml of water was added, and the mixture was sufficiently stirred. Ethyl acetate (10ml × 3) was added to extract the aqueous layer, and the organic layer was combined, and the organic layer was washed with saturated brine (10ml × 3). MgSO4 was dried and the crude product was obtained by rotary evaporation. The product was separated by column chromatography to obtain 2-fluoro-4-nitrotoluene. |
